ASSASSIN’S CREED VALHALLA SET
The players, as leaders of their clan of Vikings in order to search other rich lands are fleeing Norway and arrive in shores of England when land is divided into several Saxon kingdoms. It’s the period also known as the Heptarchy where England has seven kingdoms: Kent, Wessex, Sussex, Northumbria, Mercia, East Anglia and Essex.
From the trailer we know that the villain is King Alfred of Wessex. That’s why it’s possible that the map in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will be mostly based on England south coast, and maybe will be smaller version of England.
From the video interview below, you can find more details about the map.
WHO IS THE MAIN PROTAGONIST IN ASSASSIN’S CREED VALHALLA?
The main protagonist in Valhala is Eivor. At the start of the game, players must choose male or female Eivor, which is different from Assassin’s Creed Odyssey where backstories depend on the choice between male (Alexios) and female (Kassanra).
GAMEPLAY OF ASSASSIN’S CREED VALHALLA
in addition to raids in the game, there will be scale epic battles – says Ismail in developer’s commentary video. How combat will really feel it’s hard to say by watching a cinematic trailer, but there are some things we’ll see in the game, like heavily, very tall armored warriors of Saxons. But like Ismail said these warriors will have weak points, and we can see this in the trailer when Eivor stabs him through the knee.
Eivor’s confirmed abilities
- Eivor can dual-wield a lot of combinations of weapons. For example, two shields, witch is very crazy, but this will be possible. And of course, two axes are very interesting combination for players.
- Eivor and other can throw axes.
- The classic killer’s hidden blade has returned, although this time it’s less hidden: it comes out of a chamber on the topside of Eivor’s gauntlet.
Ubisoft said that the players will be able to construct buildings and upgrade them, including tattoo parlor, barracks, and other. In the trailer there are some of these tattoos.
Also, players will have possibilities to do different activities like fishing, hunting and more, which will be good for changing a pace.
